Love my hobby!
I’ve been pretty absent over here, but finally have an excuse to post. I don’t like to toot my own horn in public, but in private? you bet!
Here’re tweets from two iPhone developers that put out great games, telling everyone how great I am:
These guys are pretty amazing themselves. Tim is a promotional monster, thinking [...]

something I need to learn here
Twice now, in a very short period of time, I feel like I have given my all, my 110% to stay professional, pleasant, keep the lines of communication open, and connect on a real human level with another person whom I’m dealing with and/or negotiating with. Both times, I’ve been stupefied by the lack of [...]

Crowds swarm D.C. for historic moment
Sorry I’ve been absent from this blog for a long while, but GamesAreEvil and now ThePortableGamer.com are swingin and rockin.
Got an email from a high school buddy who lives in DC. He made it to the inauguration, and was then quoted in USA Today. Here’s the quote, then the link:

Some eMagazines that might be nice to get for me

A Kindle will save the countless trees and storage space that take up much of any collector’s home. I’d love to be able to get these [...]

I am listening to these guys right now, in fact
I first heard these folks on The Sounds In My Head podcast, and the name of the album grabbed me. I grabbed the album, and the first track, a long, rambling jam instrumental made me want to play music again. The rest of the album defines current pop rock at its best, in my opinon. [...]

This band has worked its way into my sound consciousness the past couple of days. I heard them on Insomnia Radio: Chicago, and they’re just LOVELY. Folk Pop that doesn’t stop being inventive, beautiful, and sweet without being boring or schmaltzy.

when it rains, it pours
This is an album that I can listen to over and over and over. I first heard these guys on the KCRW “Morning Becomes Eclectic” Video Podcast. Simply amazing. The combination of lush, guitar-heavy arrangements and the amazing vocal style of the lead singer makes this an easy recommendation.

more music!
Here’s another band I have just found, and I dig them. They’re kinda sounding like Belle & Sebastian to me, and that’s not a bad thing.
